My mom just sent me a care package here in Austria filled with lots of things I love from back in the States. Things such as goldfish, macaroni and cheese, and of course, Peanut Butter! (or mantequilla de cacahuete as my friends from Spain here call it). Thanks Mom!

Weekend in Munich, Germany! We rode the train from Salzburg to Munich. It was an absolutely beautiful train ride. There were plenty of mountains, rivers, and rolling hills. When we arrived in Munich, Andreas, our cultural program coordinator here in Salzburg, took us on a city tour. We saw the famous Glockenspiel, Marianplatz, and even went up in the Sky Needle at the Olympic Park. Some of us opted to stay overnight and take the train back the next morning. We ate a lovely dinner at probably the most famous beer hall in the world, the Hofbrauhaus. It was also my first time staying in a hostel, and I must say it wasn’t that bad. If anything, it reminded me of a college dormitory. But hey, it was only 22 Euros, and breakfast was included.
